Springtime in California

I know what your thinking... its only march! but let me tell you, while the rest of the country is in a terrible cold snap, its only mildly chilly with some rainy days here. that screams spring to me. i love every rainy day. i treasure them to remember when its over 100 for 4 months in the summer. yuck...

we have had a good month! (are you proud of me for blogging closer to a month later instead of 2 :D)  a few big events, but mostly having fun here around the house. Auntie beez came to visit so Justin and I could go to the fresno temple. it was so great, i loved it so much. its been a long time since we have been able to go so it was a great break and breanna was a trooper for watching all 5 kids for like 8 hrs.

the twins are doing great. they are sleeping well getting up about once a night to have a bottle and occasionally sleep through the night. giving me just enough hope that one day it will be consistent. they are on a good routine of a bottle and solids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. i am hoping to start real foods (soft form obviously) within the next week or 2. rayce loves cheerios, but radlee still thinks real food is weird. baby steps... rayce goes everywhere and army crawls super fast. he is even up to real crawling for quite a bit! someday soon that will be faster than his army crawl. rylie is up on her hands and knees a lot and can inch her way around. she will be moving around soon as well. she moves fine, just not as fast as rayce. plus rayce likes to stick everything in his mouth often choking on small pieces. we have all had to be better about looking at the floor and making sure there is nothing he can choke on. we gotta watch that boy! radlee still squeals like a pterodactyl whenever she wants attention. we are trying to figure out a different method of communicating. its earsplitting and not fun for us older folk.

rex is doing good. rayce loves to follow him around and Rex always is looking out for him. he will come up to me and say rayce rayce! if he ever thinks baby boy is getting into things he shouldnt. i think they will be good friends as rayce gets older. rex is still a little whiny. but he essentially puts himself in time out so that works for us. we are hit and miss for naps. we kinda take it a day at a time. rex is getting better with his words. he is following a similar timing of ryker for his words. the ones he knows are getting clearer and we keep practicing more words.

rylie is so great and such a great little mommy. she loves to hold radlee and rayce. she loves to give them kisses and play with them on the floor. not much to update on her, but we love to have her around!

ryker is doing great. he loves school still and is learning a ton. we are great at getting our homework done, but going through our letters and sight words is sometimes a hassle. he doesnt always want to spend the time to pay attention. but we are working on it. ryker lost his first tooth!!! he loses the ones that rayce is getting. haha. it was exciting for him. it didnt hurt too much, but the blood was a little scary. the tooth fairy was nice and gave him a gold coin with some left over fairy dust. he was super happy.

justin and i worked on a few more projects. we finished painting our master room and did a fun accent wall. i finished creating some fun figurines for my bookshelf.  i have loved the little project to myself.

we had a short weekend visit to auntie beez in san fransisco, but that will come in a post to follow. picture time!

Happy 4th Rylie!

Happy Birthday Miss Rylie!

like every year i feel like rylie has been 4 forever. she is our big girl and loves to act like ryker so im not too surprised. haha. she is so tall! she is already wearing 5T clothes even before her birthday. anything to keep her pants around her ankles, but small enough to fit her waist. and keep her shirts long enough that they dont ride up all day. i admit the biggest problem is actually dresses. she has such a long torso that all dresses are so short on her. we are working on it... haha. but we love her so much!

rylie is spunky and such a girly girl. she loves all things puppy, mermaid, pony, and dress up. she was thrilled with the dressups she got for christmas and her birthday. she got some pretend make up for christmas and she loves it so much. she loves her fancy shoes! she loves to do her hair. and she begs me to paint her nails all the time. i have limited it to the weekends for church, but she still loves it. she is definitely keeping me up on my skills. haha. she is my little mommy helping with the twins and helping entertain them while i am feeding the other. i dont know what i would do without her.

rylie had a great day of course playing with grandma and grandpa. we took her to build a bear for the first time. she loved it. she was a little overwhelmed with all the choices and the long process. it took her about 5 seconds to pick what she wanted. we tried to help her really look at all the options but she stuck with her original decision. haha. which we didnt mind! but wanted her to know she had lots of options. she loved stuffing and putting in a special heart. she was just as quick to pick out a fun cape for her pony. she loved the experience! maybe next time she will take more time to really consider it all.

we came home to pizza for lunch and presents and cake shortly after. she got some fun dress ups and sparkly shoes from grandma reed. she got a fun new tule skirt along with her ponys cape from grandma/grandpa deitrick. she helped grandma pick out the tule for the skirt and she loves it.

she had a fun day and we made her feel very special. we love our sweet 4 year old and are so excited for another year with her great personality.
