Fall is coming!

I dont a lot happened in September. More of the same. Justin is still enjoying work! They are definitely keeping him busy after some people were fired. but he does what they want and everyone is happy with his work. job security right? haha

Ryker is doing good. still mimicking everything. his current favorite movie is home. Im not sure that is going to help his language, but it sure makes him smile. i do think its funny. but i am also starting to hide the movie every once in a while. it has quickly moved to the only watch once a day category. he is so cute as he mimicks what we say and do. but we have learned to be very cautious in what we do now. haha. He has learned to open most every door. bathroom privacy is long gone haha. He is now tall enough to reach light switches. he holds onto the rail going up and down the stairs. my little baby boy is all grown up! he still loves to say no, but we are trying to teach him manners. and how important it is to not sit in a poopy diaper.

Rylie is growing like crazy. she is wicked fast crawling around. she stand up on everything. she has finally learned how to get herself down. its hilarious. she spreads her legs then falls on her butt. hey whatever works. she is sleeping great and eating great. she has also recently learned to climb up the stairs. thats a little more scary. she definitely not able to go down. once i was changing rykers diaper and that is all the time it took to crawl to the stairs and climb up half of them. HALF!!! she was fine. but i was scared she was going to fall and break something. that day we went out and bought a gate for the stairs. sorry baby, not till your big enough to crawl down too.

both her and ryker have had a cold for the last week. i think she got it when she went to sunbeams with justin, and then gave it to ryker. 2 sick babies is no fun. but it hasnt been too bad. worse at night, but now they are almost all better.

Im getting into a groove with my calling. I am trying to get lots of contact information and centralize everything so that we can improve communication. for the most part its going great. but i still am needing some people to get back to me. its only been a month! we can still make a difference and a different impression. everything else is going well. i had a ward conference 2 weeks ago. i was gone pretty much from 8:30 am till 5:30 pm. that was a long day for both me and justin haha. he does not envy me with the kids by myself all day during the week. he is very good to support me and my calling though.

one day while justin and i were making dinner ryker grabbed one of my cook books. ran up on the couch and snuggled down to read it. it was so cute. man after my own heart. 

naked party! they both decided to wet the bed and jammies so everything was in the wash and we hadnt stayed still long enough to put on clothes yet. 

i made a small track. ryker loves it. he loves to watch the little ball of tape roll down into the basket. if only rylie didnt pull it off the wall all the time.

The End of Summer

so i realized that through the years. you know the 3 that i have been on this blog. all my monthly updates have like the same title. lack of creativity on my part. oops.... oh well.

summer is quickly coming to a close. we are having more stormy days and rainy days. wind always. we are rarely in the 90s now. mostly 70s. some 60s on stormy days. but all in all not to bad. i love fall. and spring. the rainy overcast days with still warm weather. not too hot or not too cold.

we are doing great. august was a good month. nothing too crazy happened. Justin and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. its been a wonderful 4 years. i have never been happier. when i posted on social media i think i said something like 4 years, 3 moves, 2 kids, 1 year of not buying or selling a vehicle (a huge accomplishment if i do say so haha) and 0 arguments. Justin and i are still as happy as ever. we have had some struggles as life throws us curveballs, but it only brings us closer and we tackle it together. I am so grateful for all of his support. I am grateful for all he is able to do for me and for our family, both around the house and at work. He is a great dad and a wonderful husband. i couldnt dream of anything better.

well. thats my gushy bit. I love him even more than i did 4 years ago. we have been through a lot. but he is always there for me. He is doing great at work. still doing what needs to. everything he gets called about seems like its an emergency, 911, do this now! okay but he has 3 other things that apparently are do right now too so which one gets priority? i do not envy his jib. he works hard and does great. they are always impressed with him. we took a trip out to tioga for the first time. i mean i know he does it everyday of the week. but its the first time i had been out there. along the drive we talked about whst he does, the kind of problems he sees, things he is asked to do, what he does on his drives, what are things he looks for as he drives to and from work everyday. lots of things i dont understand so he had to dumb it down for me. we went and saw a rig from the main street. not that i knew much about it. but i could now picture where he would be and the kind of places he would go.

Ryker and Rylie are doing great. Rylie just got her 3rd tooth. its up top but not one of the middle ones..... its the one on the side. weird... thats not where i was feeling for new teeth! haha. we were playing on the floor and as she giggled i saw this white patch in her mouth. sure enough there is a tooth. she climbs up on everything now. she always wants to stand. she is trying to walk but often falls currently. but practice makes perfect right? she is doing great. learning and growing so fast.

Ryker is growing like crazy. he is so big and he loves to mimick everything. he loves to sing and dance to all the movies we watch. if there is dancing on screen we are pulled up to come join him. and he sings along. does just what they do. its adorable. i love it. he is talking a ton. more and more words everyday. we are working on putting them together. but we are getting there. he is now happy to go sit on the potty if we are changing his diaper. before we put the new one on he wants to sit and push the flush button. i keep asking if he wants his underwear, but not push it. he says no and i put him back in a diaper. but i always offer! hopefully one day he will say yes... he has gotten really into saying no. ryker, do you want some peas? no (shakes his head) ryker did you poop in your diaper? no (shakes his head and runs away) ryker will you give a toy to rylie? no (shakes his head) ryker is it time for a nap? NO (runs away all teary because he doesnt want to even though he needs it) cute kid. love him. he is learning his attitude.

anyways, we are all doing great. I actually just got a calling to be the stake young womens secretary. i am so excited and very nervous. i have never had a stake calling before. and if anyone is keeping track this is calling number 3. not one and then a different one, and then a different one. like 3 at once. i am not sure if i am going to keep them all. but i know im stressing out about it. especially since i dont know how involved this new one will be. i need to talk to the stake YW pres to see what my responsibilities are and then talk to the bishop. i dont know if i can be scout committee chairman, primary teacher, and stake YW secretary. with 2 small kids. could make things interesting. i will keep you updated! or me updated since this is my make shift journal/scrapbook/record of our life.

we are still loving it here. happy to be here and serve where we are. heres to hoping we make it through another winter. haha.

he has to do this everytime. even if we are in the middle of dinner and forgot to turn off the TV. he will scream until we get his bear and he can hold it up. so cute! also so funny. my boy...

ryker pushed the nozzle on the air compressor. it freaked him out. so once we calmed him down and turned the psi down we showed him that its a tool and how it works. now whenever we are in the garage he wants to play and "help" dad. he pretends to fill up the tires. he helps blow the sawdust off dad. he makes funny noises putting it up to his fingers. he loves it. 

i got rylie to take a bottle! i was having problems keeping my milk supply and i couldnt pump anymore and still have enough for her so we embarked on switching. it was hard a took a good week. but she learned to take a bottle during the day. then she learned to take formula. then she learned to take it at night. now we are sleeping through the night (mostly) and she takes a bottle like a champ. huge success for us. i talked to most family and it was a struggle to take a bottle for a long time.

she found rykers stash of raisens and cheerios and helped herself. it was so funny to look up and see her just chowing down on her find. she does this often now. gets a little sad if there are not treats up there waiting for her. 

this is a perfect stepping stool for her to use as he tries to stand up. but it doesnt go higher. so instead of standing taller, she goes forward. the result is Super Rylie!!!! and a faceplant.... 

enjoying the pool on one of the last super warm days. ryker doesnt like to get in right now due to a bad experience with cold water. but rylie loves it. i didnt think either of them would want to get in so i didnt bother with swim suits. but in the end i stuck rylie in in her onsie and rykers shoes were al wet from him splashing. 

a new look for rylie haha. this is a hat we got from a good friend in the ward. unfortunately she has already outgrown it, but it was fun to play with. the glasses are the perfect size haha. 

we were browsing the halloween section at a store. ryker loved all the skulls and skeletons. he kept pointing and saying teeth? teeth? teeth? love that he is not scared in the slightest. but he wanted to try on a mask. we couldnt leave rylie out so we put her in a princess crown too. so presh.

happy summer in July

well this past month was awesome! it started out with the 4th of July. we went to the park to have a picnic. Ryker loved it. he had so much fun at the park. it was great. It was crazy hot. But we still had fun. but it means we didnt stay for too long. thats okay. conveniently we could use our kids nap time as an excuse haha. when we came home we played in a little pirate pool we got for ryker and rylie. the water was a little chilly so ryker didnt actually want to get in. but he wanted to play with it all. we have played with it since. but he is still scared that the water is cold. we will work on that... then ended the night with poppers and sparklers with the kids. since it doesnt get dark till like 11 here they were definitely not going to stay up and watch the fireworks. happy 4th of july!

then next came justins birthday. happy 28 to him! its been a crazy year of moves, babies and more. he still had to work dang it. but we went out to fudruckers for his birthday dinner and then came home for cake and ice cream. i made the cake earlier that day. it turned out amazing if i do say so myself. haha. ryker was so helpful using my spatula to help cut the cake. well he more stabbed it and then licked off what came out. then stabbed it again. still cute. we still ate it... haha. Justin was lucky enough to reach his goal weight from our diet earlier in the week so that meant he got his big reward for his birthday. he wanted to get an air compressor. so i went and bought it on thursday and hid it in our storage room. he thought our plan was to go get it once he got home from work friday. so i got to surprise him by already having picked it up. i cant surprise him with gifts much anymore because he is very specific with what he wants. but i sure can surprise him by picking it up already! haha. he was very excited and we got a few attachments so he could play in the garage that evening.

we went to the state fair a week or so ago. it was fun! ryker loved the kids clubhouse. he could play and it was air conditioned. so nice. we saw some pig races and just looked around a bunch. man it made me wish i still wasnt dieting. i havent craved a hot dog or burger and funnel cake so bad in years. haha. but i stayed good! and we got ice cream on the way home haha.

i have been wanting to take some nice pictures of the kids to put up on my wall. its my mom moment of the month. so for a few days when i would get rylie dressed i took some fun photos. plus a couple extras even though i didnt keep her in that outfit for the day. they turned out super cute! i made a little collage with one big pic and a few smaller ones that i really loved and hung it on the wall. ryker wanted some pictures too so i was happy to oblige taking some of him as well. now i have big pics to show off my kids.

they are both growing up so fast! rylie is almost 20 lbs of adorable. she is almost crawling. but still mostly inch worming her way everywhere. hey when she sees a toy she wants she goes for it. and i often find her coming into the kitchen to find me if im making dinner. i love it. its so cute. she still loves being in the bouncer. it is her favorite activity ever. she could be happy bouncing in there for hours. as long as i stay with her. she doesnt like it if she is alone and im doing something else. but she is getting so big! she was sleeping super great. then had a week where she would get up and extra 3-4 times. ugh those were killer. but last night she had a good night of only getting up once to eat again so lets hope that she is back to her good schedule. those darn teeth make screw everything up as they come in.

ryker is doing great. he is so big i cant believe it. i know i say that every month. but its true. he is learning new words daily. as long as he is not throwing a tantrum he uses them haha. he can tell us his favorite movie he wants to watch and what he wants to eat. he has learned to open 3 doors. some stick so he cant open most of them. im grateful for that. haha. but he is my crazy 2 year old and im loving playing with him everyday. potty training is still a no go. but we try to encourage him often just in case.

both kids are on the same nap schedule which allows me to do a lot. i love it. hence why i can update the blog now. yay!
